At the beginning of this project you came to the library and Mrs. Jones offered a book talk to help you find just the right story for your work. Now it’s your turn to share with the librarian and your classmates some information about your book. Click on the “Comment” button below and submit a review of your book containing the following information:

A brief summary of your book.

What aspects of psychology were covered in the book?

How did this book help you complete your project?

Would you recommend this book to readers who are given this assignment next year? Why or why not?

Is there another book you would recommend in addition to the one you chose for this project? Tell us why.

Mrs. Jones will review all submissions before they are posted. Your e-mail address will not be posted, it is only given so I may respond to you on an individual basis.

I’m looking forward to reading your reviews and suggestions!

There were many things in the book that I didn’t like, but that was because the characters were cynical caused by being at the bottom of society; this made them people I wouldn’t like in life and therefore characters that I didn’t like. Though the attitude of the people in it was annoying to me, I think that many other people my age would like it.

In this small town of Crowfield, a curse has been cast. Will, a young boy who lost his parents, is the only person who can lift it. Not only does he have the Sight, which is the ability to see fay folk, but he also survived a fire that was supposed to kill every one in the house at the time.

This book mixes religion with myth very well. It is also a great and interesting book that you can get lost in. When it is released, I can see it becoming a banned because of questions that arise in it- one of the main reasons it is so interesting. The ending makes you hope for more.

The group of people that would read this book are ones that like fantasy and suspense, along with anyone who wants to end censorship and read banned books.

It’s enjoyable, funny, and light. It deals with life like everyone goes through. The main character is strong, level minded, and perhaps one of the best characters out of the entire story. Bronwen is the classic kind of girl every book needs. She down to earth and gives a great spin of the story itself. It tells of love, embarrassing moments that everyone goes through. The way that the author puts in the fact that bronwen thinks she’s switched at birth is genius. This book has comedy of all those girls who have had breakups before and after prom as well as the struggles of pressure to do something you will later regret. Also to find out whom you are suppose to be and to find out what you want out of life. I think this book would be a great read for those people who need a laugh or who just want a simple comedy with out much drama in it.

Grace’s parents were killed by dinosaurs and she was taken in by her uncle who brought the children to Africa with him. While in Africa, he took dinosaur eggs from the very nest of the dinosaurs, who killed Graces parents, and while all this is happening, the group is also trying to capture a giant squid.

The book is very interesting, but the way it is put together boggles the mind. Some may have trouble keeping up with all the different action going on at once. The ending will leave you hanging and wanting a continuation for the book.

I the general public would enjoy this rather interesting book as long as they can keep up.

When Jamey Corboy, a self-appointed boy wonder, arrives in town, John’s life suddenly seems full of opportunity, and he is no longer lonely. He is overcome by trouble and discovery, hiding as Lily’s strange illness gets worse. But Jamey and John’s love for trouble may be their downfall and soon John will be faced with a terrible, honest predicament.

I found that this book dragged on and on with irrelevant details. The main character’s life may have been full of drama, but I got tired of the constant pattern over and over and over again. I had to keep putting the book down to roll my eyes. This book was not the best for me, but perhaps someone who has experienced living in a foreign country might like it.

The scandal in which he was swimming in she believes is not his fault. To prove his innocence Audrianna goes to an inn to get information from a man known as Domino. While there she meets with an unexpected surprise. The man, who condemned her father, shows up.

Ravishing in Red by Madeline Hunter gave a sense of suspense and romance to the reader. You had to continue to read the book because of the mystery surrounding Audrianna’s father and the “bad gunpowder”. Even though the book was full of suspense, it was not one of her best writings. Madeline Hunter is a very good author; this book, however, felt dragged on. But the ending was great!

Groups that would read this book would include those who like mystery and romance mixed all together.
